I'm really excited to finally be able to share a commission I've been working on for the past 2 years. The Royal Opera House asked me to create a bespoke Walk-in-Book for their new shop, and also to create a 'Behind the Scenes' repeat pattern for a new range of children's products. I'm happy to say that the shop is now open and is full of lots of wonderful books, dressing up and fantastic games to inspire children to engage with their own creativity.
The Opera House are also opening up their doors for 'A Month of Sundays' in November, where families can go along and meet some of the talented makers, dancers, musicians and technicians who all work so hard to create such wonderful stories for us to engage with. Families can take part in dancing, craft activities, dressing up and singing. It's a chance to see what it's really like and to dispel some of the myth that Opera and Ballet are not for everyone. They are, after all, just different ways of telling stories. And who doesn't love a good story?
